Carolina, Puerto Rico- The inaugural USL Pro, PRSL match began with the islands “Superclasico” between arch rivals River Plate Puerto Rico and Sevilla FC Puerto Rico. Sevilla FC, the Spanish La Liga subsidiary in Puerto Rico, had just begun training only a week before, while River Plate Puerto Rico had begun their season a couple of weeks back with the CFU Champions Cup. But, it would be Sevilla FC whom would score first, and surprise the small crowd in the stadium.
At minute 22, Matías Arce, River Plate midfielder, would receive a yellow card. River Plate was playing a strong offensive football, while Sevilla FC would play a defensive minded football, looking for the counterattack.

At minute 34, Ryan Roushandel, center defense for Sevilla FC, would make the game’s first goal as he received a corner kick and would head the ball past Craig Hill, River Plate’s goalkeeper.
At minute 43, puertorican national team striker, Chris Megaloudis would try to even the scoreboard but his shot would miss the target. The scoreboard would stay 1-0 at the conclusion of the first half.
On the second half, at minute 53, puertorican national midfielder Peter Villegas, midfielder for River Plate Puerto Rico, would receive a pass, from Chris Megaloudis, on a counter attack and would manage to evade several of the Sevilla FC defenders. His strike would pass right by Sevilla’s goalkeeper, Maximiliano Torlacoff hands placing the game 1-1.
At minute 72, another Sevilla defender Nicholas Cárdenas, would receive a corner kick and would head the ball towards the post and then heading towards the back of the net. The goal would place the game 2-1, Sevilla FC surprising River Plate on their turf.
At minute 79, Cuban striker, Yaikel Pérez would receive a long pass and would head the ball past Torlacoff, placing the game 2-2. The game would end tied, and with a great debut for both teams.
