Hartlepool United forward David Foley is on the verge of making a move to US League side Puerto Rico Islanders. The 22-year-old is preparing to fly out to the Caribbean in the coming weeks to sign a deal and it would mark the start of a new chapter in his career. After discussions with boss Chris Turner, it was agreed he could move on for pastures new. Speaking to the club’s official website, Foley said: «When my agent spoke to me and said there was interest from this team who had watched me a couple of times in the reserves, I was interested. «I hadn’t played this season and so I wasn’t confident of being here next year, so I pulled Chris and told him about it all. «We both agreed that the move would be a good one for me if it happened and he said he would sort it out for me at this end and here we are now – it’s all done and dusted this end.» |
Interesting purchase. When does the League start? where can I watch it?
