MONTREAL, QC — The Montreal Impact registered a 3-1 win against its reserve team the Trois-Rivières Attak, Saturday morning at Olympic Stadium, in its last exhibition game before the CONCACAF quarterfinal game, this Wednesday.

Sebrango opened the scoring for Montreal (Pepe)Forward Eduardo Sebrango scored the first goal for the Impact in the 33rd minute after accepting a long deep pass from midfielder Sandro Grande. Forward Roberto Brown gave the lead to Montreal in the 37th minute by scoring on a penalty. Midfielder Félix Brillant scored the insurance goal in the 63rd minute of play.

Attak forward Elkana Mayard had opened the score in the 20th minute after deflecting with a header a corner from Mohamed Sylla.

“Today’s game gave us the opportunity to locate our reference points on the field at Olympic Stadium,” said Impact assistant coach Marc Dos Santos. “We also got the chance to use our principles of play one last time before Wednesday’s game.”

All Impact players took part of this game, except resting players Nevio Pizzolitto and Rocco Placentino, as well as injured players Mauro Biello (clavicle), Stefano Pesoli (knee) and Simon Gatti (thigh).

The Impact is still unbeaten in nine preseason games since the beginning of training camp with a record of 7-0-2.

Excellent tickets are still available for the February 25 game through Admission (514-790-1245 / 1-800-361-4595 / admission.com) and at the ticket offices of Olympic Stadium and Saputo Stadium. More than 45,000 tickets have already been sold.
