San Juan- With the end of the 2nd round of the 2010 CFU Club Championship, futbolboricua.net makes public the updated CFU Club standings list. The new list incorporates several elements of the first formula, but it has been simplified, and has added goals scored. It uses the previous year’s data to place the teams in the list, and updates as they progress through the CFU Championship and the CONCACAF Champions League.
With the end of the second round, the Puerto Rico Islanders have dropped to 3rd place, trailing closely behind the current Caribbean leaders, the San Juan Jabloteh who is in second. In first place is last year’s champion, WConnection, but due to their inactivity in the international stage they will be eliminated, per the new rules of the list, once the 2010 international club calendar ends.
The following is the new ranking system:

Rounds Passed: 15.5 points
CFU: 10
Champions League: 30 points
CCL Rounds: 20.5
Goals Scored: 1.5 points
Wild Card Team: -5 from Comp
Seeded Teams: 10 points
Current CFU Champion 25.5
Year in progress: 2010
Not Currently Active : *
This new list will begin to take into account only achievements and goals scored since 2009.
This year’s achievements will be used for next year’s ranking. Teams that do not repeat on the third year will be eliminated from the ranking. 2009’s achievements will be erased on 2011 list.
